I've written another character background intended for the second book. Can be found here: http://www.wattpad.com/story/16992713-character-background-draft-sena
Have to rewrite the Khaotixc character background, then write about 3-4 more things before I go out of my way to do yet another kickstarter to help raise funds to self publish.

A short.
I may be writing a small draft of the prequel story set 500,000 years prior to the book series' plot which delves into the history of two specific gods. Who weren't really true gods at all. Of course, I won't actually be finishing the draft itself; since I intend to finish it once the series has been concluded. By that time people should/will be confused about the characters that appear in the series who were present in the prequel. It will also shed some light of how the plot is basically a tragic tale of two lovers who could never be together. Instead, they die and are reborn over and over. An eternity of strife between each other, where at the end they must kill one another. Only to be reborn again and begin the cycle anew.
Here's a hint though:
Here's a hint though:
Sacreia has raven black hair here, and no longer possesses her half breed markings. That's about as much as hint I'll give.

Hmm..
Well, that's it for the character origins. I did all the main cast. All that's left is the villains. Which are the Wyrmlords and Wyrmqueens(Dragon clan leaders). But to go into their background would show too many spoilers, and as much as I love to show people spoilers... This time I won't.
In other news, I intend to buy the rights to a song from Soul Sacrifice to use at some point. What song, you may ask? This one:
Why? Once I played this game, I was inspired by its music, as such this one song reminded me of the battle between Ryu and Sacreia(From Ryu's POV) and the end of her chapter. Music makes things all the better, it helps a scene come to life. I'll even show a bit of that scene now:
“Liar! You forgot about me
the moment you met that Nerokois harlot!” she roared as Ryu managed to finally
overpower her, forcing her to the ground where he slammed his great sword down
upon her.
Those horns by the way? They're not the average Wyrmqueen horns. In fact, there's only one other character that has the horns Sacreia had there.
This was done by a friend. As was several other artwork for my book. Who is she? Her name is Serya, AKA Tiamat; Draconic Goddess of Twilight. Both Sacreia and Serya have a very deep connection to one another. One that is only hinted at. The fact they possess the same horns, and that in Sacreia's chapter, she recollects memories that are not her own, but Serya's. What ever could that mean?

Hopping
off of him, she sighed sharply and looked up towards his bloodied corpse. Her
eyes widened for a moment as Ryu applauded and began to approach. “Here I
thought you were going to lose and I had to come in and save you.” He joked.
Sacreia began to clench the sides of her head and scream loudly, almost inhumanely.
Reddish black ichor began to spew from her mouth covering her entire body
reforming her exoskeleton and healing her wounds entirely. It had changed
entirely, spikes rose from her shoulders making thick ridges around her collar
bone. Small spikes ran up her clawed fingers and toes, much like his own
exoskeleton. It seeped up towards her face and finally to the sides of her
head, where two horns were formed protruding forwards where they curved quite
high. A row of smaller yet more prominent horns appeared upon her forehead like
a crown. She had resembled a Wyrmqueen. The screaming stopped and her head
lowered, black smoke billowing out from her nostrils.
Slowly she
turned towards him and motioned a hand to him to approach her. “Come here for a
moment... I have something I want to tell you!” she exclaimed. Ryu approached
her curiously, and as she outstretched her hand her sword manifested itself and
pierced Ryu's abdomen. His eyes widened in shock as he took several steps back
pulling the blade from his body. The others looked at her in surprise wondering
why she had suddenly attacked him of all people. “I need you to die, so
this body will finally be mine!” she roared.
“What the
hell has gotten into you, woman!? Is this about earlier!?” Ryu yelled, yet Sacreia
merely smiled and shook her head. “She is no longer here. Only I, Nelai
remain. You are the only thing that stands between me and total possession of
her body. And for good measure...” She turned to face the other two, her right
hand outstretched as she fired two flaming lances towards them which pierced
into their bodies sending them outside of the stronghold and pinned them to the
sand outside. “There, now they will not interfere. Can you truly bring yourself
to kill her...? One whom you've cared for...? Loved...?” she said, as several
new markings began to etch themselves upon her face, the same that Ratheran
himself had.
Ryu
quickly unsheathed Dresera, and Sacreia manifested her other weapon. They
lunged towards one another exchanging several blows, their weapons smashing
against one another in a brilliant display of sparks. With each clash of their weapons, a bright
blinding flash of energy would burst between them. Within that light… He began
to recollect his memories of his time with her. He could see her smiling up at
him. Even the day he presented the wristlet came to his mind, the joy that was
ever present within her eyes. Ryu’s movements had begun to grow sluggish,
Sacreia stared upon him confusedly, wondering why he wasn’t putting up as much
fight as he should.
Once more
their weapons clashed, and another brilliant burst of energy sparked between
them. His eyes widened, and he could see the cliff, when she had confessed her
love for him. The feeling of when she had first kissed him graced his lips once
more, it had become heart wrenching. Even
the image of the rose still on her
hair was beginning to eat away at him Why was he fighting her, why did such a
fate befall her? All this time, he had never known that he had loved her. But
now she stands before him, a monster corrupted by her own hatred, possessed by
her Dragon Soul just as he had been when he killed Ganyu.
Ryu rushed at her with an overhead crushing
blow, slamming the face of his massive sword upon her. Sacreia parried barely
blocking the blow and pushing him upwards, her hands trembling beneath his
strength. Their weapons were locked upon one another, a contest strength now
took place as they began to try and overpower one another. “Why did you abandon
me!? I waited for you... All those years! Was I nothing to you this whole
time!?” she cried out. Ryu knew this was not her, Nelai was trying to weaken
his resolve. But if it was her... He had to try and reach out to her in the
same manner Yoli did to him. “I didn't abandon you by choice! You weren't there
when I returned! It isn't my fault!” Ryu grit his teeth pushing as much
strength as possible into trying to push her back, Sacreia did the same, the
glow in her eyes growing more intense by the second.
Those horns by the way? They're not the average Wyrmqueen horns. In fact, there's only one other character that has the horns Sacreia had there.

Origin of Kai
Haven't posted in a while. But that was simply because I had things I had to play. Had to torment others in Dark Souls. Anyway, now to Kai's Origin.
Kai's personality is based off my best friend, whom I've known over 10 or so years. I met him on FFXI and we've been pals ever since. Kai is more of a comic relief character, his overall view of life, his womanizing ways and straight down to his appearance. As he has an exaggerated pompadour, black leather jacket/pants and a white under shirt. Despite Kai being a womanizer and hitting on every woman in the cast; he has his eyes set on just one character. This one being Miyuki. Miyuki; like the rest of the female cast, does not like him in the slightest. He is the only half dragon in the book who does not use his exoskeleton, and instead uses clothes. It is also not mentioned what his dragon parent was, or hinted at. Considering that his weapons are dual elements, it'll just leave you guessing.
Yet behind that bit of humor, he is a man that wants long lasting friendship and companionship. Like myself; he uses humor when he's nervous or feels anxious. Whereas the rest of his personality derives from my friend(As much as he denies it). Kai represents Friendship and Pride.
Oh, and that donation button up there? That's in the off chance someone is nice enough to donate to my self publishing fund. As you know, that shit's expensive.

Origin of Miyuki
Miyuki was one of the last characters loosely based off someone I know. Her outfit was also designed by the person with her somewhat limited artistic abilities. Much like the woman she's based on, Miyuki's eye color changes with her mood. Whereupon being angry/upset it will go from the normal icy blue to a steel/gray coloration. Being the only elven character in the group, she causes Ryu some discomfort seeing as she bears somewhat of a similar appearance to both Sacreia and her mother Aneia.
The character Kai is infatuated with her much to her dismay. She is the oldest character in the group being over 200. During her enslavement by Wyrmlord Atreloch, her mind has been twisted to the point that those with dragon blood within them bear an irresistible allure to her. Which causes her to fall for Ryu, going so far as to offer herself to him only to be rejected. Why it is she doesn't fall for Kai who also possesses dragon blood would most likely have to do with him having the inferior blood in comparison to Ryu.
Miyuki is the cliche elven archer, however she is also a priest. What does this remind you of?
That's exactly where I got the idea for her bow from. Miyuki comes off as a rather guarded and level headed woman otherwise. Although not every character is perfect, and has little issues that aren't mentioned until the end of the book where each of them is... Well, I won't spoil that. But let's just say their most guarded secrets about themselves is exposed before something happens to them. Miyuki doesn't really represent anything yet, or rather haven't assigned anything to her yet.

Origin of Fali
Fali was meant to be one of those abrasive characters with a loud vulgar mouth.(Much like one of my closest friends, who I based loosely off her personality). Fali and her race(The Kitzal) were created at the same time, as I wanted three beast races. Nerokois being the cats, Luzen being the dogs, and Kitzal being the foxes. Her initial design remained the same and hasn't received any changes since her creation. My only issue with her when making her was developing dialogue for her.
It was most likely because by the point she was introduced, I was nearly finished with the book; and her dialogue just didn't feel as important. While she had lines, and a background; it just felt as if I could have done more with her. Fali was meant to fill in the role of Mage, essentially making their group your typical MMO dungeon/raid party. Fali represents Change and Perseverance.

Origin of Ammy
The character Ammy was made by a friend of mine I met on Monster Hunter Tri, he had a character with the same name. As he liked my work, I made him a character with the same name who has a bit of his personality. His Ammy was meant to be a reincarnation of Amaterasu(The Okami wolf one). I had no idea what they were so I googled it and found what the character was. From that character's creation; the Luzen beast race was born. Ammy's appearance was inspired by Amaterasu Okami, in such she had silver white hair and red markings upon her ashen face.
Ammy was a little hard to develop simply because she was the first character I had made that used someone's personality in. As time went on, I developed her background story which alarmingly was similar to my friend's childhood and I didn't even know anything about it. Ammy comes out as a bit shy, if not a little guarded. Despite her savage demeanor that every Luzen has, Ammy is meant to be one of those lovable sweet characters.
Ammy represents Loyalty and Friendship. (Insert loyal dog joke here). Ammy is the tallest character in the first book, yet happens to be the smallest a female Luzen can get at 7 feet tall.

Origin of Yumira
Yumira has been a part of the book for a long time, I believe probably about as long as Yoli. Her name originated from a woman I knew online with the very same name. I've never heard of such a name before and became enamored with it. So I used it for the character. Yumira has always been the princess/future queen of the Human Kingdom of Muren, and has always had blue hair. Her primary weapon and fighting style has changed about 3 times. Since she is the paladin, she has healing magic stronger than the rest of the group aside from Miyuki.
Yumira is Honor, Determination, and Duty. She is also the voice of reason within the group and one of the more compassionate characters. Originally, she had a long sword as a weapon. However, now she has the ability to meld said long sword into her right gauntlet to create a sort of sword gauntlet similarly to Edward Elric's from Full Metal Alchemist. While she is but a simple human, she has had her body experimented with at a young age and as a result of that experimentation; she now has above average strength, speed, and a stupidly fast learning rate. Along with said gauntlet ability, she has an enchanted helmet with two modes depending on how the visor is upon putting it on. Visor down: Goes berserk with increased strength and speed(Can almost match a half dragon), however she attacks friendlies. Visor up: Gains a major speed boost and the ability to slow time around her.
Despite being a paladin, Yumira is the most frailest defense wise of the entire cast, only being above Fali.

Origin of Eilara
Eilara's quite literally the newest character who was made in under 30 sec upon listening to one song while under the effects of Neurosonic. (That song being: Dragon's Dogma song) I created her appearance, abilities, weapons, background all in under 30 seconds of hearing that. Eilara's addition was to show another half human half dragon character who shared the same ascended form as Ryu. Her role was to provide a life and death battle for Sacreia before having fought Ryu, as they're polar opposites elementally. As Eilara is a Bounty Hunter who fights in the name of Human Justice, she hunts those who have wronged humanity in some way. So she even hunts Ryu after nearly killing Sacreia and losing. Eilara represents Lust and Justice, and those are the definitions of her daggers.
After she had fought Ryu and lost, I had unintentionally made her a masochist. Yet, that kind of fit her in the long run. Every character has something interesting about them after all. Eilara develops a thing for Ryu and lusts after him, she claims that she wouldn't mind fighting him again knowing she would lose. She even throws herself at him much later on and is rejected. Eilara was also meant to be another candidate for the human throne and thus competition for Yumira.

Origin of Yoli
Yoli's origin is a bit of an amusing one. Considering I had originally never had her in the book as it is. Granted there was always a female lead, but somewhere down the line I made her. "Yoli Kohlpaka" was the name of my FFXI NPC. Her personality in the game was aloof, naive, yet adorable at the same time. This played a major part in her personality in the book. Yoli was influenced by an ex of mine way back when, which is the reason why she has two sisters. The youngest sister "Jade" is also the same name of that ex's younger sister. Even parts of her personality were originally present within the character, but have since been removed. As with the main cast(I forgot to mention this), she represents three primary emotions. Love, Compassion and Joy. Yoli was meant to be killed at one point, however lots of people liked her and she grew on me a lot.
So she stayed and became an integral part of the books. She is meant to be the cutest character personality and appearance wise. Even being the main source of fan service with how many times you see her naked, she still holds the title of cutest character. Fali would probably fall in after her, or maybe Ammy in terms of cuteness.

Sacreia's Origin
I'm doing these by order of who appears. Sacreia is the second of the main cast to be introduced, and her origin is probably the longest. The original concept of the character was not my own, but someone who was meant to roleplay with me many many years ago. Back then, I would roleplay the plot of my book and other people could tag along with their own characters. This person created Sacret. Sacret was Sacreia's original name, the character was of dragon blood and was meant to betray Ryu at some point. She had no appearance, no background or anything.
We never got to roleplay, but I kept the concept for a long while. I even used Sacret in the book, her father was always the red dragon in chapter 6/7. When I started playing World of Warcraft, I had started as Horde, but wanted to play Alliance. I wanted to make a character, but did not know from which of the book cast to use as a base(I do this with every game. I always use my character's names). I had chosen a Night Elf female warrior, and decided that she'd be based off of Sacret. However, I did not like the name, so I thought of another one. This is where Sacreia was born.
While leveling her, I started picking several different songs that I could use for her(Every character has a theme, or lots) and the songs from the anime Elfen Lied stuck with her. So began a spiral into madness as I developed her background and pouring more and more of myself into her. She is an amalgam of my negativity, she encompasses rage and despair. She is by far, the one character almost everyone can relate to. Her appearance has gone through many changes over the years as did her background. For a character almost 2 years old(2 since her creation), I have changed the entire plot line of the series just for her addition. Her chapter is by far the longest one in the book, and the other characters have not more than a few paragraphs describing their background(Yoli's being second longest). In the document itself, Sacreia's chapter is a whopping 66 pages.(My normal chapter page count is 20).
Sacreia's hatred and murderous ways towards humanity is a reflection of my misanthropy to a degree. Her appearance is also a reflection of what had scared me in my teenage years about asian women from having watched so many horror movies(Like the Ring, Ju-on etc). Elfen Lied's Kaede/Lucy also played a part in her appearance and inspired some of the events in the chapter. Sacreia is the second most important character in the series, and has an important role at the very end. For if when you learn the connection she has with a certain character; you will learn just what role she has to play.

Now with some origins.
Each and every character has an origin. I don't mean simply in the book, but what inspired their creation. For example, Ryu was inspired by Gattsu from Berserk. And in this post I'll actually describe a bit of history on the Ryu character and how he came to be the way he is.
Back when I was in High School and started playing FFXI... I created him there. Originally I had made another book which I later scrapped and "Reokudo" was meant to be a villain. After I scrapped that book I made him into a protagonist and gave him the first name "Ryu". He was always a half dragon, and bore a resemblance to Gattsu from Bersek in the sense they had similar hair and both wielded a massive sword. Ryu's sword "Dresera" was originally known as Dres Vera Kou(Sword of Dragon's Bane). The appearance of its original form has always been the same, the other forms of it have changed many times.
Ryu's body armor has also gone through many changes. It was originally plate armor that manifested in the same manner as his exoskeleton. But, I found it rather odd later on how someone manages to manifest a suit of plate mail from their body. So his armor instead became an exoskeleton much later upon the introduction of the Sacreia character. Ryu's personality is based upon my own in many ways. His growth as a character has varied a lot over the years. At one point he was a bit of a womanizer, or did stupid things and made half assed jokes. I made him more serious, as it befit him better over time.

Starting this off with a character sheet. One character is currently missing and I will add them a little later on. Some also have images, some more than others. Most images were made with game engines to be about as accurate as can be as to how I imagine them in the book.

him despite her mother wanting her to be a simple princess. Yumira was a stout

trained with her father, and his instructor from ages past. She would not
become a defenseless queen who would have to rely upon her king and knights for

manipulated by Wyrmqueen Atrae, and joins Ryu on his journey knowing she could

the uncanny ability to make every woman he hits on despise him. Despite his not
wearing an exoskeleton, he has a very high defensive value being able to shrug
off damage that would otherwise incapacitate another.

family which is literally unheard of, as dragons would usually abandon the half
breed child and leave them with the mortal parent. Throughout his life, he was
alone in the sense he never had a true friend. Despite his efforts, he was met
with shrewd looks and betrayals. In this regard, he turned to trying to be
funny in order to win the hearts of others, yet at the same time he would hide
how he truly felt. Comedy was now his only means of attempted expression which
would net him slightly less negative responses. He comes off as a womanizing
moron, but deep down he just wants love, he simply does not know how to go
about wooing a woman normally. Having
been poor, he told his parents one day he would become a treasure hunter and
own a large house for his family to live in. Once the Myaval arch mages grew
tired of the half dragons, they sunk Drital, his parents were killed. He
